Siyasa Terms of Service
1. Introduction And Agreement
These Terms of Service govern access to and use of Siyasa’s websites, mobile applications, APIs, dashboards, civic engagement tools, scorecards, notifications, content, communications, and related services. In these Terms, Siyasa means the owner and operator of the Siyasa platform, including authorized employees, contractors, administrators, organizational partners, successors, and assigns.
By accessing or using Siyasa, creating an account, submitting information, receiving communications, or using any Siyasa feature, you agree to these Terms and to the Siyasa Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Services.
2. What Siyasa Provides
- A civic engagement website focused on American Muslim communities.
- A mobile app with voter registration, voter status, polling-place, election deadline, candidate, official, scorecard, event, news, and notification features.
- Aggregate-only voter participation dashboards and analytics.
- Candidate and official scorecards based on selected bills, resolutions, votes, sponsorships, public records, and published methodologies.
- Election guides, community resources, organizational content, endorsements or recommendations where published by Siyasa or partners.
- Mail-in and absentee ballot resources, including links, PDFs, deadlines, and state-specific guidance.
- Administrative tools that allow authorized staff or organizations to manage content, events, news, notifications, and scorecards.
Siyasa is an informational and civic engagement service. Siyasa is not a government agency, election authority, law firm, financial advisor, tax advisor, or substitute for official election information.
3. Eligibility
- You must be able to form a binding agreement or have permission from a parent or legal guardian to use the Services.
- You may not use Siyasa if you are prohibited from doing so by applicable law.
- The Services are focused on United States civic engagement. Some features may not be useful or available outside the United States.
- Some civic features may be most relevant to people who are eligible or soon eligible to vote, but public informational content may be viewed by others.
4. Accounts And Profile Information
Some features require an account. When creating or using an account, you agree to provide accurate information, keep your information current, protect your password and device, and notify Siyasa if you suspect unauthorized access.

| Account deletion | You may use available in-app controls or contact Siyasa to request account deletion, subject to retention allowed by law and the Privacy Policy. |
5. Privacy
The Siyasa Privacy Policy explains how Siyasa collects, uses, discloses, stores, and deletes information. The Privacy Policy is part of these Terms. By using Siyasa, you also agree that Siyasa may process information as described in that policy.
6. Acceptable Use
You agree not to misuse the Services. Prohibited conduct includes:
- Breaking the law or encouraging others to break the law.
- Interfering with voting, voter registration, election administration, polling-place operations, or a person’s lawful civic rights.
- Submitting false, misleading, defamatory, harassing, hateful, threatening, abusive, obscene, or discriminatory content.
- Targeting, harassing, intimidating, doxxing, or threatening individuals, communities, candidates, officials, organizations, staff, or users.
- Impersonating Siyasa, a government agency, election authority, candidate, organization, official, or another person.
- Attempting to access accounts, systems, data, APIs, databases, admin tools, or source datasets without authorization.
- Scraping, crawling, harvesting, bulk downloading, reverse engineering, or reselling data except as permitted in writing.
- Uploading malware, using bots, probing security, bypassing rate limits, disrupting service, or interfering with platform integrity.
- Using Siyasa to send spam, unauthorized solicitations, deceptive messages, or unlawful campaign communications.
- Removing attribution, copyright notices, source notices, or disclaimers from Siyasa content.
7. Civic Information Is Not Official Election Advice
Siyasa strives to provide useful civic information, but election information may change, may be incomplete, may vary by address, district, date, party, election type, or local jurisdiction, and may depend on third-party or government sources. Before registering, voting, requesting a ballot, returning a ballot, relying on a deadline, or traveling to a polling place, users should verify critical information with official election authorities.
Siyasa does not guarantee that voter registration links, polling-place data, mail-in ballot instructions, candidate lists, deadlines, district assignments, or election authority information will be complete, current, error-free, or legally sufficient for a user’s circumstances.
8. Voter Participation Dashboards And Analytics
Siyasa may publish aggregate voter participation dashboards, turnout summaries, trends, counts, and geographic or demographic-style breakdowns. These dashboards are intended for civic organizing and public information. Public dashboards should not expose individual voter records.
Aggregate participation data may be delayed, estimated, corrected, incomplete, or subject to source limitations. Siyasa may change methodology, remove dashboards, correct errors, or restrict access at any time.
9. Scorecards, Endorsements, Guides, And Editorial Content
Siyasa may publish scorecards, election guides, candidate information, official records, endorsements, recommendations, news, events, and alerts. Scorecards are alignment tools based on selected positions and published methodology; they are not objective ratings of a person’s worth, qualifications, character, faith, or fitness for office.

Users remain responsible for forming their own views, verifying information, and complying with election laws.
10. Third-Party Data, Links, And Services
Siyasa may rely on or link to third-party sources and providers, including Democracy Works, Google Civic Information API, Cicero, Congress.gov, official election authorities, official House and Senate sources, Expo push notifications, hosting and storage providers, app stores, mapping tools, candidate websites, social media, Ballotpedia, and other public or private sources.
- Siyasa does not control third-party websites, apps, APIs, policies, outages, errors, pricing, or availability.
- Links do not necessarily mean endorsement, sponsorship, partnership, or verification.
- When you leave Siyasa or interact with a third party, that party’s own terms and privacy policy may apply.
- Siyasa may remove, replace, cache, summarize, or stop using a third-party source at any time.
11. Communications
By using Siyasa, you may receive service, account, administrative, legal, safety, or transactional messages. If you opt in, you may also receive email, SMS, push, in-app, election reminder, legislative alert, event, news, and community mobilization communications.
- You can opt out of non-essential communications where controls are available.
- SMS carrier message and data rates may apply.
- Push notifications can be disabled in the app where available or in device settings.
- Opting out of promotional or mobilization messages may not stop necessary service or legal notices.
- Siyasa is not responsible for delayed, undelivered, blocked, filtered, or failed communications caused by carriers, app stores, device settings, email providers, push services, or incorrect contact information.
12. User Submissions
If you submit contact messages, support requests, feedback, corrections, suggestions, files, or other materials, you grant Siyasa a nonexclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, reproduce, modify, store, display, transmit, and create derivative works from those submissions as needed to operate, improve, support, secure, and promote the Services, subject to the Privacy Policy.
You represent that you have the rights needed to submit materials and that your submissions do not violate law or third-party rights. Siyasa may remove or decline to use submissions at any time.
13. Organizational And Admin Use
Authorized organizations, administrators, staff, and contractors may receive access to tools for managing events, news, notifications, scorecards, organizations, attachments, or civic content. Such users agree to use admin tools only for authorized purposes, protect credentials, follow role permissions, avoid unauthorized exports or disclosures, and promptly report security issues.
14. Intellectual Property
The Services, including software, designs, text, logos, graphics, page layouts, app flows, dashboards, compilations, scorecard methodology, and other Siyasa-created materials, are owned by Siyasa or its licensors and are protected by intellectual property laws. Except as allowed by these Terms or written permission, you may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, lease, sublicense, reverse engineer, or create competing services from Siyasa materials.
Public government records and third-party materials remain subject to their own ownership, licensing, public-domain status, restrictions, or source terms. Siyasa does not claim ownership of official government records merely by displaying or analyzing them.
15. Limited License To Use Siyasa
Subject to these Terms, Siyasa grants users a limited, revocable, nonexclusive, nontransferable, nonsublicensable license to access and use the Services for personal, civic, informational, and authorized organizational purposes. This license ends when these Terms terminate, your account is suspended or deleted, or Siyasa stops providing the Services.
16. App Stores And Mobile Platforms
If you download the app through Apple App Store, Google Play, Expo, or another platform, that platform’s terms may also apply. The platform provider is not responsible for Siyasa’s content, services, support, claims, or legal compliance except as required by its own terms or applicable law.
17. Updates, Changes, And Availability
- Siyasa may modify, suspend, discontinue, restrict, or remove features at any time.
- Siyasa may update app versions, APIs, dashboards, scorecards, content, methodology, eligibility rules, or provider integrations.
- Some features may be unavailable during maintenance, provider outages, deployment, elections, data refreshes, or technical failures.
- Siyasa may impose limits on usage, API access, storage, notifications, account creation, or administrative access.
- Siyasa is not obligated to maintain any particular feature, dataset, scorecard, dashboard, or historical result forever.
18. Disclaimers
THE SERVICES ARE PROVIDED ON AN AS-IS AND AS-AVAILABLE BASIS. TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, SIYASA DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, ACCURACY, COMPLETENESS, AVAILABILITY, SECURITY, AND ERROR-FREE OPERATION.
Siyasa does not warrant that the Services will be uninterrupted, timely, secure, current, accurate, legally sufficient, or free from bugs, viruses, provider outages, data errors, or harmful components. Users rely on civic information at their own risk and should verify critical information with official sources.
19. No Legal, Election, Financial, Or Professional Advice
Siyasa does not provide legal advice, election-law advice, campaign-law advice, tax advice, financial advice, immigration advice, or other professional advice. Content is informational. Users and organizations should consult qualified professionals or official authorities for advice specific to their circumstances.
20. Limitation Of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, SIYASA AND ITS OWNERS, OPERATORS, OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, CONTRACTORS, VOLUNTEERS, ADMINISTRATORS, ORGANIZATIONAL PARTNERS, LICENSORS, AND SERVICE PROVIDERS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, PUNITIVE, OR LOST-PROFIT DAMAGES, OR FOR LOSS OF DATA, GOODWILL, USE, CIVIC OPPORTUNITY, VOTES, CAMPAIGN OPPORTUNITY, REPUTATION, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES, ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO THE SERVICES.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, SIYASA’S TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ALL CLAIMS ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO THE SERVICES WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF 100 U.S. DOLLARS OR THE AMOUNT THE USER PAID SIYASA FOR THE SERVICES IN THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM, IF ANY.
21. Indemnification
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Siyasa and its owners, operators, officers, directors, employees, contractors, volunteers, administrators, organizational partners, licensors, and service providers from claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses, including reasonable attorneys’ fees, arising from or related to your use of the Services, your submissions, your violation of these Terms, your violation of law, your misuse of civic information, or your infringement of any rights of another person or entity.
22. Suspension And Termination
Siyasa may suspend, restrict, or terminate access to any account, admin tool, API, content, or feature at any time if Siyasa believes a user violated these Terms, created risk, misused the Services, compromised security, violated law, infringed rights, or acted inconsistently with Siyasa’s civic mission or operational integrity.
Users may stop using Siyasa at any time and may request account deletion where available. Sections intended to survive termination, including privacy, intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability, indemnification, dispute terms, and legal compliance, will survive.
23. Copyright And Takedown Requests
If you believe content on Siyasa infringes copyright or another intellectual property right, contact Siyasa at contactus@siyasausa.com or through in-app support. Include enough information to identify the work, the allegedly infringing content, your contact information, and a statement that you have a good-faith belief the use is unauthorized.
24. Corrections And Feedback
Siyasa welcomes corrections to civic data, scorecards, events, news, and other content. Submitting a correction does not guarantee that Siyasa will accept it, publish it, or make a change. Siyasa may prioritize official sources, verified records, editorial judgment, methodology, and operational capacity.
25. Governing Law
These Terms and any disputes arising from or related to the Services are governed by the laws of the state where Siyasa’s legal owner is organized or primarily operates, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, unless applicable law requires otherwise.
26. Dispute Resolution
Before filing a claim, you and Siyasa agree to try to resolve disputes informally by contacting each other and allowing a reasonable period for response. If unresolved, disputes may be resolved in the courts located in the governing-law jurisdiction, unless a different process is required by applicable law.
27. Changes To These Terms
Siyasa may update these Terms from time to time. The updated version should show a new effective date. If changes are material, Siyasa may provide additional notice through the website, app, email, push notification, or other reasonable means. Continued use after an update means you accept the updated Terms.
28. Assignment
You may not assign or transfer these Terms without Siyasa’s written consent. Siyasa may assign or transfer these Terms in connection with a merger, acquisition, reorganization, sale of assets, change in legal structure, fiscal sponsorship, affiliate transfer, or by operation of law.
29. Severability And Waiver
If any part of these Terms is found unenforceable, the remaining parts will remain in effect to the maximum extent permitted by law. Siyasa’s failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver of its right to enforce that provision later.
30. Entire Agreement
These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy and any feature-specific terms or notices, form the entire agreement between you and Siyasa regarding the Services and replace prior or contemporaneous understandings about the Services.
